Knives Out Review by Niamh Mcalister

Ever since I was young, I have always loved mystery movies -especially when there is a murder involved! So when this film was released I booked my ticket and rushed to the cinema. Upon sitting down I made a bet with my friend who would figure out the murderer first. Well, 2 hours and 10 mins later we stumbled out of the cinema in shock. It was brilliant! It was only after sitting at a fish and chip parlor later that day, I really thought about, and this review will touch on those things I thought about.

First of all, I thought it was a bit predictable and the plot didn't have enough twists for my liking. And, oh wow, that's pretty much it. I can't really expand on those points without giving the plot away but there wouldn't be a reason not to go and see the movie! There are not many things that I would say to criticize Knives out. It has a great director and an amazing cast (including Daniel Craig who plays James Bond and Chris Evans who plays Captain America)!

I don't think the trailer did it justice. The movie was way better than the trailer made it look! The trailer showed it as a murder mystery and it was not. The death of the victim was revealed almost immediately. It was a whodunit drama.

In conclusion, Knives out was entertaining and different. It had a star cast and a very clever ending (and a Hamilton reference- which you know I was very happy to hear)! That is why I’m going to give it 4 stars! The only reason that I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the slight predictability of who actually did it. But other than that, a very good movie!
