September Issue (Black History Month competition announcement)

This September, the Purple Ink Magazine returns with a plethora of exciting new articles which include film and music reviews, political articles and multiple creative pieces. If you would like to contribute to our magazine or have an idea for an article you would like to send in, our Black History Month Competition might be just the right thing for you! In celebration of Black History month, we’ll be issuing a special October edition which will be fully written by guest columnists. If you would like to write a socio-political article, a review or a creative piece in celebration of black history month, send your *article to purpleinkmagazine@gmail.com by 30/09/2019.

You can explore the blog for all our newly published articles and all our prior published articles. If there are any issues that you would like to be discussed (e.g. political issues and your favourite movies, books or songs/albums) you can email purpleinkmagazine@gmail.com. 

*Word limits apply as follows:

Reviews- Maximum 500 words

Creative pieces- Maximum 700 words

Any article that doesn’t fall into the above- Maximum 700 words

All articles must relate to black history, predominantly black countries, inspirational black figures or anything else of this ilk.
Only one article can be submitted per person and only 10 people can win the opportunity to submit an article. We will judge these articles by how creative your submission is, how compelling your subject choice is and how captivating your style of writing is.
