What does to be
beautiful even mean? Why is society placed among one word and even the appearance of others. Why is
the word beautiful defined as one
meaning, that there is only one type of beautiful. Media has shown the world
only little of what it actually is. We see influencers, billionaires,
politicians, actors in our everyday life, we see the differences between
ourselves and others - but can’t we just be content with what we have?
Men and Women, 2
different genders made under the likeness of God, yet we are still being
separated into sections of who’s better than who. Beauty is seen around the
globe, from North, South, West and East. I know, sometimes we can’t tolerate
looking at how bad skin has been lately. I know that at least once everyday we
judge what we see in the mirror every morning, messy hair, the dark eyebags,
our cracked lips. The things you have aren’t necessarily going to be the same
as the girl who is “so peng,” or the
girl who just doesn’t try at all. We shouldn’t have to put ourselves in the way
that we put each other into groups, who’s better than who and so on.
It sounds cliche, but
the best way to deal with talking down to yourself is to start counting your
blessings! You know why? Because you have no single idea on what might be going
through a person’s head everyday, you don’t know the background, the history
or the person. You can’t judge a
person’s worth by just what you see. You know that...right? So what makes you
think you can do it to yourself. Of course, you will not see differences
overnight, but the more you start appreciating yourself, you achieve that
personal glow. You achieve the beauty you have ever wanted to have. So stop
thinking that you have to change yourself to fit the benefits of society, stop
judging people who are trying their best and keep striving through your own
path.
It’s your dream to
catch, so own it. You’re beautiful whoever who may be reading this and I want
you to remember that.
Love from,
Ruthann.
